This collection of photos serves as a case study from the time when I was studying at architecture school. I visited Dundasvale court on numerous occasions to capture images and gain an understanding of the complex and bittersweet nature of these council houses.
Despite the city experiencing multiple demolitions and reconstructions, this vast council estate, which has been home to over 700 families, still stands in the heart of Glasgow today. While it is certain that there have been several bitter stories associated with this place, I believe that there must be some sweetness to be found as well.
It is fascinating to consider the history of this location and how it has evolved over time.
